Venkata: Co-President
Venkata is an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, majoring in bioengineering. With a strong drive to improve the lives of hospice patients and senior residents during COVID-19, she volunteered as a Letter Angel and currently co-manages the program towards the goal of expanding program services to multiple care facilities. She also spends her time researching at a BIOE lab, tutoring, and volunteering at a local hospital and assisted living center

Prakhya: Co-President
Prakhya is an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, studying biological sciences under the pre-med track. Outside of medicine, her hobbies include dancing and playing badminton. She also volunteers at a hospital and is a part of the Student Health Advisory Board at UMD. Prakhya initially started off as a volunteer in Letter Angels and enjoyed writing letters each week to her penpal. She later became the co-president, and helps manage the Letter Angels Program now
Caitlin: Outreach Director
Caitlin is currently pursuing a Masters degree in biology. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in general biology and a minor in religious studies in May 2022. She is from a small county in southern Maryland and enjoy spending time with her 3 sisters. She loves to watch sporting events with her family, including hockey and football. She has two dogs, Marco and Major, that she completely adores! She strives to always be kind to others and hope to bring a bit of positivity into people’s day and as such joined Letter Angels as a pen-pal volunteer. She later became a part of the team as our Outreach Director/Coordinator!
